This 1-day workshop brings together RACMA members and Australia's leading medical administrators to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Blending keynote presentations, real-world case studies, and live demonstration, participants will leave with practical insights and genuine inspiration for innovation within their organisations.A resident AI expert will work alongside the group throughout the day, drawing on insights from the participant group, to build an AI-powered tool live, demonstrating what is possible at the intersection of technology and clinical leadership.
Agenda:
10:00 – 10:15 - Welcome & Housekeeping Opening welcome from ASME’s Masha Pelipas presenting an
overview of the day's program and housekeeping and an introduction to the theme of AI innovation in healthcare.
10:15 – 10:30 - Introduction to our AI Expert.
Introducing our resident AI expert, Joe Glesta, who will serve as a cohesive thread throughout the day. We will outline the pre-workshop survey findings, identifying the biggest issues facing healthcare administrators and work together to live build a solution to address a key challenge during the event.
10:30 – 11:00 - Session 1: Introduction to AI Jake Carp from Levercon AI is a solutions architect supporting AI implementation and adoption within organisations in regulated industries.
11:00 – 11:15 - AI Expert Thread This is an interactive session to include a brief update from our AI expert with progress on the live build.
11:45 – 12:25 - A Real-World AI Use Case A deep-dive with a clinical specialist from a successful health
start-up discussing lived experience and tangible outcomes.
12:25 – 1:05 - A Real-World AI Use Case A clinician from Nexus MD will discuss how AI documentation
can support clinical care in real-time.
1:05 – 1:20 - AI Expert Thread AI expert shares the state of the live build.
1:20 – 2:00 - Lunch Lunch with an opportunity for informal networking.
2:00 – 2:40 - Cybersecurity: Real Risks in AI-Enabled Healthcare. A virtual talk from Mo Jaimangal, founder at Jupiter AI about the major risks involving security and personal health information that accompany AI adoption in healthcare.
2:40 – 2:50 - AI Expert Thread AI expert presents the near-complete tool.
2:50 – 3:40 - Panel Q&A: Innovation, Risk & the Road Ahead. Facilitated panel discussion bringing together the day's speakers with open audience Q&A.
3:40 – 3:50 - AI Expert Thread The final reveal built live across the day based on participant input. A direct answer to: 'How could AI help you?'
3:50 – 4:00 - Closing Remarks & Next Steps.
