2027 Foundation Transition ProgramWe are very excited to begin our Foundation Transition Program this year and meet our future students. This is a 7-week program that runs on Tuesday afternoons from 2.35pm to 3.20pm. Each week students will have the opportunity to attend all specialist classes, meet their teachers and form connections with their future classmates. All transition sessions will begin in the school library (in the Senior Building). Parents and/or carers along with students will sign in and leave their contact details in the sign in area outside the library doors. Parents and carers can also meet in the staff room (near the office) for tea and coffee whilst their child attends the transition program.
The timetable for our transition program is as follows:
Session 1 (13th October 2026) - Library
Session 2 (20th October 2026) - Art or PE
Session 3 (27th October 2026) - Art or PE
Session 4 (10th November 2026) - French or Music
Session 5 (17th November 2026) - French or Music
Session 6 (24th November 2026) - Buddies
Session 7 (1st of December 2026) - Meet the Teacher
After session 6 (24th November), there will be a parent information session at 3.45pm. During this session, the 2027 Foundation teachers will provide more information about how you can support your child during their first few weeks of school, the programs included in Foundation and answer any questions you may have. You will be also given an information pack with your class placement, their testing timeslot at the beginning of year and the information discussed in the session.
Note: During session 1, students will be allocated either group 1 or group 2 and will rotate specialist sessions each week. For example, group 1 will attend PE in session 2 and group 2 will attend Art in session 2. The following session, group 1 will attend Art and group 2 will attend PE. Due to our yard duty timetable, we also ask parents and students to arrive no earlier than 2.25pm and to wait outside the Library (Senior Building) in the sign in area to ensure all students have signed in.
