Mental Health Support Training for First Responders
Join us for this valuable **nationally recognised Mental Health Support Training**, delivered by **Safe Hands SA** and specifically contextualised for Puddle Jumpers volunteers and the situations we encounter across our food relief, camps, outreach and community programs.
The training will build your confidence and practical skills to support people who may be experiencing distress, trauma, crisis or significant life challenges.
You’ll learn how to recognise signs of common mental health concerns, have supportive conversations, respond appropriately to distress, understand referral pathways, use de-escalation techniques, manage challenging interactions, maintain appropriate boundaries and protect your own wellbeing from burnout and compassion fatigue.

**Saturday 17 October 2026**
**1:00pm – 4:00pm**
**Glandore Community Centre**
25 Naldera Street, Glandore
**Cost: $20 per person**
Includes the nationally recognised training and **afternoon tea**.

Participants are required to complete approximately **3 hours of online pre-course theory before attending** the face-to-face session. Details for accessing this will be provided to registered participants.
