Looking for your first job but not sure where to start?This practical and interactive school holiday workshop is designed to help young people aged 13-17 build the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to take their first step into the workforce.
Participants will learn:
What employers look for in a worker
How to identify their strengths, skills and experience
How to create a basic resume
Where to look for job opportunities
How to prepare for interviews
Workplace expectations and professional behaviour
Strategies for finding and applying for jobs
The workshop includes practical activities, discussions and guided exercises, with participants leaving with a draft resume, greater confidence, and a personalised action plan for their next steps towards employment.
Perfect for young people who are preparing for casual work, part-time employment, work experience, or their first paid job.
