Join the Corrigin Farm Improvement Group for the 2026 CFIG Spring Field Day on Tuesday, 8th of September 2026, for a full day of practical learning, field demonstrations and networking.
Held at the Corrigin Golf Club and starting at 9.30am with morning tea and a hot cuppa, this annual event brings together growers, researchers and industry representatives to explore the latest variety trials, seasonal insights and practical management strategies. The program will feature the latest information on CFIG trials, research and results; Market updates such as how geopolitics are currently affecting the Australian economic outlook; A beginners' guide to using Artificial Intelligence (AI) within agricultural businesses; Nitrogen discussions and the latest RiskWi$e developments and strategies aiding farmers to be ‘more right, more often’. We will also take a look at Variable Rate technologies, including local business cases and insights.
After a hot lunch, it will then be time to jump in the utes and cars and head out to the paddock, visiting a Nutrien Canola Variety Trial, a Lupin trial with AGT and GRDC’s National Variety Trial (NVT) site with presentations from market-leading seed companies and industry experts. We will visit Hickey's sheds for a demonstration of a Stryker Foam Water Suppression System on John Deere 780 with the team from Argos Fire Safety & Muirton Farms. The final stop will be taking a look at a paddock that Western Stabilisers mechanically broke up & levelled shallow gravel and conglomerate, and hear about the soil formation results.
