The ticket price covers all FIVE one hour Zoom Science Lessons with Jacob (Both Live and On demand recorded tickets available)1. Monday 12th October 10am AEST (Sydney Time)
2. Monday 19th October 10am AEST (Sydney Time)
3. Monday 26th October 10am AEST (Sydney Time)
4. Monday 2nd November 10am AEST (Sydney Time)
5. Monday 9th November 10am AEST (Sydney Time)
These lessons will be recorded and the link sent to all ticket holders.
If you miss a lesson and need to catchup you can use the recorded lesson.
Note: The recorded lessons will only be available for upto 2 weeks after the course has finished.
To participate:
1. Buy a Ticket to this event ($50 Live ticket or $25 On demand recorded only)
2. Get your hands on a student microscope (Tiny Science Lab has a very good one available)
It is possible to join the class and use the $25 pocket microscope from Tiny Science Lab
Obviously it's not as good as the full size microscope, but it will do the trick!
3. Purchase the Microscopy Course Accessory Kit with glass slides and cover slips from Tiny Science Lab ($15)

4. Printout the course worksheets which come with the Microscopy Accessories pack and also will be emailed to you prior to the course commencing
5. Participants will need a microscope, microscope accessory kit, microscopy course worksheets, pen, pencil, clipboard and a few extras from around the house for each lesson (You will already have these extras in the house, no need to buy)
What each class will look like:
Hands-on practical.
There will be lots of preparing slides and other equipment.
There will be lots of looking down a microscope.
Jacob will have a microscope with a camera attached so participants will be able to see Jacob's view.

Field of view - Ruler , newsprint or advertising brochure, scissors
Hay infusion - Dry grass, conical flask with rubber stopper
Growing and viewing bread mould - Bread, petri dishes
Viewing onion skin cells - Onion, knife, betadine, toothpicks
Microscopic organisms in pond water - Pond water
Tardigrade Hunt - Moss
Leaf stomata investigation - Clear nail polish, soft leaves
Insect anatomy - Variety of dead insects
Brine shrimp lifecycle - Drinking glass, brine shrimp eggs, salt, yeast
Pollen investigation - Variety of flowers
Observing diffusion - Food colouring
Observing crystallisation - Salt
