2026 Australian Junior Mathematics Olympiad
AJMO is a brand new competition designed for students up to Year 8 who are interested in challenging mathematics and Olympiad-style problem solving. It provides an accessible introduction to mathematical reasoning, creativity and problem solving in a competition environment. The competition aims to give younger students a chance to spend time on challenging mathematical problems. The problems have been designed so that students should not see the answer immediately and may not know how to proceed immediately. We encourage students to play around with the problems, use pen and paper, write lists, draw pictures, jot down ideas, and spend time thinking.
