Discover how mindfulness and Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT) can help you better understand and regulate emotions. Through interactive discussion and practical exercises, you'll learn how the mind and body influence emotional responses, explore emotions in the workplace, and develop simple, evidence-based strategies to build resilience, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this masterclass, participants will:
- Understand how the mind and body work together to create and maintain emotional experiences.
- Explore emotions in the workplace, including their own emotional responses and those of others.
- Learn practical mindfulness and emotion regulation strategies drawn from MiCBT.
- Practise simple techniques that can help build emotional awareness, resilience, and self-management skills.
FACILITATOR
Dr Sarah Francis is a psychologist, researcher, author and Director of the Melbourne Mindfulness Institute, where she offers both individual and group-based mindfulness programs, including mindfulness-integrated cognitive behaviour therapy (MiCBT).
Sarah has previously worked in education, HR (learning and development) and business consulting.
She co-authored “The Clinical Handbook of Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy” Cayoun, Francis and Shires, and her research on the effectiveness of MiCBT is published in Frontiers in Psychiatry.
Sarah convenes a professional development and supervision group for MiCBT clinicians.
