23 серпня колишній провідник Микола Іванович уперше після виходу на пенсію вирушає у рейс як пасажир. Він не надто радий поїздці до санаторію, путівку до якого йому подарувала донька, аж доки на вокзалі не бачить легендарний потяг Червона Рута, де розпочалася його кар’єра залізничника.
Там він зустріне давніх знайомих і нові пригоди.
Серед пасажирів опиниться і Тамара, яка після подій фільму Потяг у 31 грудня встигла розлучитися і самостійно виховує трьох дітей. Минулого разу ця вродлива білявка втратила у потязі кохання, але в Червоній Руті вона отримає шанс знайти нове.
А от подружжя Оксана та Борис збираються розлучитися просто в потязі і подають на розлучення онлайн у «Дії». Втім, після раптового зникнення їхньої донечки герої усвідомлюють, що це рішення було надто поспішним та емоційним. Вони знаходять доньку і зберігають сім’ю.

Do you believe in love at first sight? On the Red Rue train, it is not only possible but inevitable, because the red rue is the Ukrainian symbol of true love. In our story, it will help one character find their true feelings, another save them, and a third realise it was there all along.
On August 23, former conductor Mykola Ivanovych embarks on a trip as a passenger for the first time since his retirement. He isn't particularly thrilled about the trip to the health resort — a gift from his daughter — until he spots the legendary Red Rue train at the station, where his career as a railroad worker began.
There, he'll meet old acquaintances and embark on new adventures.
Among the passengers is Tamara, who, following the events of the film December 31st Express, has since divorced and is now raising three children on her own. Last time, this beautiful blonde lost her love on the train, but on the Red Rue train, she'll get a chance to find a new one.
Meanwhile, the married couple Oksana and Boris plan to split up right on the train and file for divorce online. However, after their daughter suddenly goes missing, the characters realise that this decision was too hasty and emotional. They find their daughter and keep their family together.
All proceeds will be donated by Uki Movie Club to support Defend Ukraine Appeal. The event is supported by the Ukrainian Council of NSW and the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations.
