Kick off your Friday night with friends, fresh air and art across Haymarket!

Join us on Friday 18 September, 6–8pm and make your way through five galleries, all within walking distance, with contemporary art, immersive installations and opening celebrations along the way:

📍 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art:

Catch Archetypes: 30 Years of 4A before it closes. Guest curated by Amelia Winata, the exhibition brings together Maria Cruz, Dacchi Dang, Emil Goh (1966–2009), Jumaadi, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, Koji Ryui, Samraing Chea, Spencer Lai, Yasmin Smith, Amy Stuart & MSAC Collective, Sarah Ujmaia and Yusi Zang.

📍 Nasha Gallery:

Join the opening celebrations for Amber Wallis’ Volcano and Kathryn Dolby’s Waterhen.

📍 Passage Gallery:

Step into Betty Russ’ Tearing Field, an immersive installation exploring mutation, adaptation and survival, where water, air, plants and sculptural forms move through a shifting environment.

📍 Schmick Contemporary:

Grace Harré, Luca Blasonato and Paige Labuda come together for Peace of a Park, transforming the gallery into a rundown city park and exploring connections between people, nature and the environments around us.

📍 China Heights Gallery:

Celebrate the opening of group exhibition Tactile Illusions, featuring Eli van Engelen, Madi Feist, Yoko Georgiou, Midori Goto, Marina Inoue and Benedict dos Remedios.
