End of Day Reflection for National Police Remembrance Day
About
The End of Day Reflection is an occasion for reflection and remembrance, bringing to a close the formal memorial services and observances held on Blue Ribbon Day and National Police Remembrance Day. The day will provide an opportunity to honour and remember members of Victoria Police who have died in the line of duty, as well as police officers from jurisdictions across Australia who have died in service over the past 12 months. The ceremony will take place at the Victoria Police Memorial, a tranquil garden setting within Springvale Botanical Cemetery. Ceremony will include prayers and reflections, the laying of floral tributes and the restoration of the Police Flag to full mast. The raising of the flag symbolises the conclusion of the day's commemorations and the return of police employees to their duties.
Members of the public, Victoria Police members and families, veterans, other first responder services, civic leaders and community representatives are warmly invited to join us in remembrance.
