Career Start Learning Alliance Meeting, Term 4 - Creating a culturally inclusive classroom for all students
Join colleagues for a collaborative Learning Alliance Meeting focused on Creating a culturally inclusive classroom for all students.
This session provides opportunities for participants to reflect on the Cultural Responsiveness Placemat within the VTLM 2.0 Element of Teaching and Learning, Enabling Learning, and to deepen their familiarity with resources that support culturally responsive practice.
Participants will explore what cultural responsiveness means in practice, reflect on the cultural understandings, perspectives, and experiences they bring to the classroom, and examine two key practices: supporting cultural safety and strengthening belonging and connectedness. Through discussion and reflection, participants will consider how these practices can be intentionally applied in both classroom and whole-school contexts to enhance engagement, inclusion, and learning outcomes for all students.
Date and location:
Tuesday, 13 October, The Ninth Ave (Westmeadows)
Time:
1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Space is strictly limited and is for early career teachers only.
