Beyond Basics: BATTLE IQ: Think. React. Adapt.Instead of recreating iconic moments, dancers learn how to create their own battle strategy in real time!
Dancers will explore:
Reading your opponent / responding to what you see
Musicality beyond simply hitting the beat
Building rounds with an introduction
When to repeat, contrast, switch or surprise
Using space, levels, direction and dynamics
Making intentional choices rather than just doing moves
Recovering when something doesn't go to plan
Developing a personal “battle toolkit”
Knowing when to go big vs when to hold back
