Griffith University will be hosting a Repair Café at this year's SWELL Festival in the Yulagi Tent on Friday 18 September, from 12pm to 3pm (last session @ 2.30pm).

Bring along your clothing and textile items in need of repair, and our volunteer menders will help give them a second life. We can assist with simple clothing repairs, alterations and fabric mending.

To help as many people as possible, we ask that each booking be limited to one item. If time allows and your repair is a simple fix, our volunteers may be able to assist with additional items -- but this cannot be guaranteed.

Most repairs take around 30 minutes, but this can vary. Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked timeslot and stay with your item for the duration of the repair.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring any materials needed for your repair, such as matching fabric, thread, buttons, zips or patches, to give our volunteer menders the best chance of completing the repair.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Registrations are encouraged to help us manage demand, but walk-ins are welcome and we'll do our best to assist.
• Please stay with your item for the duration of the repair.
• Items cannot be left with our volunteers before, during or after the session.
• Repairs are subject to the condition of the item, available materials and the time available on the day.
• While our volunteer menders will do their best to help, we may not be able to complete every repair.
