Celebrate the first day of BirdLife Australia's Backyard Bird Count with a guided birdwatching experience led by an expert local ornithologist.Explore the birdlife of Blue Gum Hills Regional Park and Kau Ma Park, learn bird identification and birdwatching techniques, and discover the importance of protecting local habitats and biodiversity. Whether you're a beginner or a keen bird enthusiast, this relaxed morning walk is a great opportunity to connect with nature and develop your birding skills.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
Important: Participants will meet at Blue Gum Hills Regional Park before travelling independently to Kau Ma Park. Binoculars are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
Please bring: a hat, sunscreen, drinking water and sturdy walking shoes.
Bookings are limited and open to Newcastle residents only. Please contact the organiser to be put on the waitlist.
