CHAINSAW LEVEL 1Ideal for beginners or those looking to build their knowledge and confidence, this two-day Chainsaw Level 1 course, delivered by ARB Track, provides practical and theoretical training in the safe operation, maintenance and servicing of chainsaws. Participants will learn essential chainsaw safety principles, correct operating techniques, routine maintenance procedures, and relevant legislative requirements.
Successful participants who demonstrate competency will receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised units:
AHCMOM213 Operate and Maintain Chainsaws
FWPCOT2273 Trim and Cut Felled Trees
Delivery: Theory and practical training and an assessment. Carried out over 2 days - Saturday and Sunday.
Pre-requisites for this course - attendees must reside within the Strathbogie municipality, with preference will be given to those living within the areas covered by the LEAP project.
Participants must bring their own chainsaw and associated equipment to ensure training is relevant to the tools they will be using in their own work or property maintenance activities.

Applicants must reside within the Strathbogie Shire or postcode 3719 (Terip-Terip) to be eligible. Successful applicants will be contacted in due course to complete their registration.

Delivered by ARB Track in partnership with Strathbogie Shire Council and Greater Shepparton City Council through the LEAP (Local Emergency Action Plan) program, funded by the Victorian Government's Safer Together initiative. This session is being offered to support the delivery of actions identified within the Kirwans Bridge and Ruffy Tablelands LEAPs.
