Come and join Lois and learn the art of patchwork over a 3 (or if needed 4) week workshop starting on Wednesday 28th October.Your runner will measure : 21 ½ x 52 inches (55x 132cm)
Items supplied by Lois:
1. Applique pieces for stars, angels, holly leaves.
2. Fabric for angel wings.
3. Fabric for angel face and hands.
4. Pattern and instructions.
Things you need to bring:
1. Sewing machine
2. Sewing bits and pieces.
3. Threads (cotton is best).
4. Mat and cutter (She Shed have a few available).
5. Walking foot for sewing machine.
6. ¼ inch foot for accurate measurement.
7. Visofix.
Fabrics: (Christmas fabrics should be available in Spotlight in October)
a) Backing fabric about 4 inches larger than the top measurement of 21 ½ x 52
inches.
b) Batting of your preferred lining. Slightly larger than 21 ½ x 52 inches. (about 3
inches larger).
c) 20cms each of 2 fabrics for foundation blocks.
d) 30cms of border fabric.
e) Prairie points- 2 colours or as many as you desire. If 2 colours, 30cm of each.
(There will be some fabric left over but nothing worse if not enough).
f). Stars- At least one piece 15cm for large star. Scraps of yellow fabric- if you have
none, buy a few fat quarters.
g) Scraps of green fabric for the holly and scraps of red for the berries.
h) Embellishments- whatever you wish to add to it.
j) Small amount of white for the angels.
