This year, the P&C is excited to begin a new series of parent information evenings, designed to bring families together around the many questions, challenges and decisions that come with raising children.Our first session, presented by Empower Our Kids, will focus on protective behaviours and body safety.
The workshop will help parents make conversations about consent, boundaries and personal safety feel more natural, practical and age-appropriate. It will cover topics including body alarm bells, private body parts, safe and unsafe secrets, consent and trusted safety teams.
The aim is to give parents greater confidence in having these important conversations, while helping children build the language, awareness and skills to recognise when something doesn’t feel right and know who to turn to for help.
We hope this is the first of many useful, supportive evenings for our parent community.
