Join us for 7.00 am Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral, followed by a light breakfast and an inspiring talk from John Pridmore, international Catholic speaker and bestselling author of From Gangland to Promised Land.Growing up in London’s East End, John left home at 15 and was soon drawn into the criminal underworld, eventually becoming a violent East End gangster. His life revolved around money, nightclubs, sports cars, and crime until one night, after nearly killing a man, everything changed.
Following a profound encounter with God, John walked away from his former life and discovered a new purpose. He went on to work alongside people such as Mother Teresa of Calcutta and has helped young people, including those caught up in gang life in the Bronx, discover their dignity, gifts, and potential.
John has now shared his story in 56 countries with more than three million people, speaking in churches, universities, schools and prisons. At World Youth Day in Sydney, he addressed a crowd of approximately 500,000 young people. His bestselling book, From Gangland to Promised Land, has sold more than one million copies worldwide.
