UWA Pathways Program
About
UWA offers three free, field-specific pathway programs. Students study one day each week at either the UWA Crawley campus or the Armadale University Hub.Students must study:
General English
Mathematics Essentials or Mathematics Applications
three other General courses
Successful completion provides entry equivalent to a 70 ATAR and meets UWA’s English competency requirement for eligible degrees.
UWA Catalyst: STEM Pathway
Designed for students interested in science and technology careers.
Focus areas include:
chemistry
mathematics
multidisciplinary STEM study
analytical thinking
academic research and communication
Students must have studied Mathematics Applications in Year 11 or Year 12.
Catalyst may provide entry into eligible science and technology degrees and majors, including Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics.

UWA Thrive: Health and Nursing Pathway
Designed for future healthcare professionals and students interested in nursing or health-related study.
Focus areas include:
health science preparation
academic foundations for nursing
anatomy and physiology
communication and research skills
Thrive may provide entry into eligible courses including Nursing, Biomedical Science and selected Bachelor of Science majors. Nursing has limited places and entry is not guaranteed.
UWA Headway: General University Pathway
Designed for students interested in a broad range of university degrees.
Focus areas include:
writing
research
communication
numeracy
university study skills
Headway may provide entry into eligible courses including Arts, Business, Primary Education, Environmental Design, Media and Communication, Music and Social Work. Some courses have additional entry requirements, including personal statements or auditions.
