East Gippsland gave a strong and resilient community with a long history of supporting one another through difficult times such as bushfires and other emergencies. The session provides Psychological First Aid skills to help members feel more confidentsupporting family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and others following stressful or traumatic events

A practical and supportive session designed to help community members:

• Recognise how people may respond to crisis and trauma
• Know what to say — and what not to say
• Provide practical emotional support
• Look after themselves while supporting others
• Know when and where to seek further help
