Flight School (Years 5–6) – Two full-days – Tuesday to Wednesday

Students take robotics into the air, using the brand-new VEX AIR drones. Over two days students learn to code in Python, first in a virtual reality flight simulator and then on real drones, writing programs that take off, navigate and land on their own. In between, students take the controls for the Ace Trials, a series of flying minigames designed by Barker Robotics that test skill and precision, working their way up from rookie to ace. It is a real step into the technology behind modern aviation and robotics, and a great launchpad for students interested in competition robotics.

Shipwrecked (Years 3-4) – Two full-days

A hands-on introduction to engineering for students ready to design, build, and compete. Washed ashore on Castaway Island, crews build their own VEX GO robot, learn to drive and program it, and head out on expeditions in Shipwrecked, a custom survival game designed by Barker Robotics. Each mission earns Salvage Coins to spend on real robot parts and upgrades at the Trading Post. Students learn by building, testing and improving a robot of their own, finishing with the Night Rescue, a race against the tide to light the beacon, which families are welcome to watch.

Astronaut Academy (Years 1–2) – Two half-days

A gentle first taste of robotics for our youngest students, run as a real astronaut training program. Students build, program, and drive LEGO SPIKE Essential robots through a series of space-related challenges, collecting stamps in their Training Passport as they go. On day two they work together in a timed teamwork challenge where students navigate their Robots through a series of obstacles. Every student builds early digital literacy and problem-solving skills, and graduates with their Training passport and Astronaut license.
