Ready to get your hands muddy and have a go at the pottery wheel?Join us for a fun, hands-on beginner wheel workshop designed especially for ages 10–15. No previous pottery experience is needed — just come along ready to learn and have some fun!
Sunday 20 September
9:00am – 12:00pm
$120 per person
During the workshop, participants will learn the basics of wheel throwing, including:
• Preparing and wedging clay
• Centring clay on the wheel
• Opening and pulling up the walls
• Creating simple forms such as cups and bowls
• Basic trimming and finishing techniques
We will guide participants step-by-step in a relaxed and supportive environment, helping them develop confidence, coordination and control at the wheel.
What to bring:
• Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Hair tie if you have long hair
• Short nails are recommended
• No hand jewellery
• Most importantly — enthusiasm and a willingness to give it a go!
Places are limited to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual instruction.
