Introduction to Bookbinding 102
About
This half-day introductory bookbinding course builds on the pamphlet stitch workshop and is ideal for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills. Participants will learn key bookbinding terminology, become familiar with the use of bookbinding tools, explore the basic structure of a book (codex), and be introduced to fundamental measuring and cutting techniques. During the workshop you will complete two projects:- a multi-section French-stitched notebook featuring a sewn-on cover and an exposed spine
- a hard back single section cased-in binding
The workshop is limited to 8 participants and includes all materials.
