Horse Brain Science
With Dr Stephen Peters
Thurs 29 Oct 26 | 7:00pm AEDT | Online

Join internationally recognised equine and human neuroscientist Dr Stephen Peters for a live exploration of the equine brain and what neuroscience can teach us about learning, behaviour, emotional regulation and our relationship with the horse.

We’ll explore how horses process experiences, how stress and safety influence learning, the role of timing and predictability, and how a better understanding of the nervous system can help us ask: How can I do better?

A rare opportunity to interact with Dr Peters

EA members attending live will have the opportunity to submit questions and participate in the discussion with Dr Peters.

This is currently a live-only presentation and a recording is not confirmed.

About Dr Stephen Peters

Dr Peters is an equine and human neuroscientist, author, educator and horseman whose work has helped bring modern neuroscience into the way horse people think about learning, behaviour and the horse–human relationship.

Internationally recognised for making complex brain science practical and accessible, he teaches riders, trainers, veterinarians and equine professionals around the world, helping translate what we know about the equine brain into a deeper understanding of the horse in front of us.

He is the author of Horse Brain Science: The Neuroscience of Ethical Horsemanship, co-author of Evidence-Based Horsemanship, and his newest book, Horse Brain Science Simplified: A Foundation for Equine Neuroscience, is being released in 2026.
