OVER THE RAINBOW: A CHALLENGE TO CANCEL CULTURE brings together writers from Australia, the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom to examine the impact of gender ideology on free speech, women’s, lesbians' and gay men's rights, politics, health, law, sport and civic culture. Drawing on perspectives from campaigners and experts across medicine, law, philosophy, politics and community services, the contributors explore how ideas about sex and gender have become embedded within institutions and organisations, and the consequences for open debate and dissent. The book aims to contribute to a re-opening of civic discourse around sex, gender and the rights of citizens in liberal democracies.**********
ABOUT THE EDITORS
Drew Hutton is a co-founder of the Queensland and Australian Greens and former president of the Lock the Gate Alliance. He has a long history of activism and writing on peace and non-violence, civil liberties and the environment.
Libby Connors was a member of the Queensland and Australian Greens and has been active in non-violence, anti-racism, civil liberties and environmental causes for over four decades. An historian, she co-authored A History of the Australian Environment Movement with Drew Hutton.

ABOUT OUR LAUNCHER
Sall Grover is the founder of the Giggle app, a social networking platform exclusively for women. Before that, she worked in the film industry in the US. In 2022, Roxanne Tickle made a complaint against Giggle. In 2024, the Federal Court ruled against Sall and after she appealed in 2025, the Federal Court once again ruled against her with increased costs and fine. Sall is the mother of a young daughter whom, she says, is the reason she is fighting for the rights of women to have their own spaces.
