You are invited to attend the Queensland Fire Department’s State Panel Interviews in Brisbane.
You are required to bring your current Drivers Licence as proof of identification.
Should the interview panel recommend your application at the interview stage, QFR Talent Acquisition need your licencing information to commence the required background checks (Referee Checks and Criminal History Checks).

*NEW LOCATION - Brisbane applicants: for your State Panel Interview at the Queensland Fire Departments Head Quarters.
You will be required to find street parking or uitlise public transport as there is staff only parking on site.
*LOCATION INSTRUCTIONS - Make your way to the main Security Desk and introduce yourself as an applicant here to do a firefighter interview.
Once you have signed in, you will be directed to wait in the seating area and a QFR Talent Acquisition team member will collect you at your allocated time, please allow yourself plenty of time to be punctual.
2027 Firefighter Recruit Campaign – State Panel Interview
It is your responsibility to get to the State Panel Interview venue and arrive on time. Any person arriving late may forfeit their State Panel Interview.
Your ticketed start time will include 15 minutes to complete ID checking plus 20 minutes for perusal of your interview questions prior to your interview commencement time.
Perusal time is where you can use your paper based notes you bring to help formulate your answers to the interview questions before you meet with the panel for the interview.
Please allow at least 2 hours for this interview process.
Dress standard is neat, business attire appropriate for a professional interview.
All materials and resources required for the interview will be provided. You may, however, bring along any notes (paper based only) to use in your allocated perusal time. No digital devices will be permitted while undergoing this process.
All costs associated with your attendance at the State Panel Interview are your responsibility.
If you are successful at interview, you will be required to participate in the Psychological Assessments; The psychological assessments will consist of both an online and face to face component and will be held in Brisbane ONLY from late January 2027. Please be aware that the face-to-face component will be booked by QFR Talent Acquisition on your behalf and may be within seven (7) days from the date of your interview.
Further specific information will be provided at a later stage to those progressing to the psychological assessment.
