For Love Your Bookshop Day, we're turning Library Portal into a room full of quiet company - proof that books connect us and chat is optional. It's a night for everyone that's ever wanted to bring their book along to a party.
Good books, decent drinks, with zero small talk required.
Bring your current read, or raid a curated stack from Ramona Books. Grab something from the bar, where Northcote's High Note is pouring wine, cocktails, beer and non-alc, then pick your room: settle in for heads-down silent reading, or the room where the odd bookish chat is very much on the table.
$10 a spot. Ambient DJs and plenty of seats.
About Library Portal
Library Portal is an independent, volunteer-run library, arts centre and meeting place for the community, set in the grounds of Lady Axion Estate on Hawthorn Road, Northcote.
Plenty of parking in the grounds of Lady Axion Estate, or a short hop away from the tram on St Georges Road.
