About

Preserve your precious photographs, slides and negatives, personal videos and audio cassettes, by creating quality digital copies at Kiama Library.

What can I digitise?

- Photographs (up to A4 size)
- Photo slides (35mm)
- Film negatives (35mm film strips, medium format film, 4x5 inch film)
- VHS video cassettes
- Standard compact audio cassettes

The Preservation Station is free to use for Kiama Library members and is available on Thursday mornings by appointment only. Bookings are limited to one 3-hour session per person per day.

To operate the station, you will need intermediate computer skills. If you are not confident using computers, please bring someone to help you. This is a self-serve station with instructions provided - library staff can assist you in setting up, however they cannot digitise items for you.
