Orix DuoYejin Choi, cello | Kevin Suherman, piano
Commended for “matching the complexity of programmes with confidence and poise” (ClassikON), the Orix Duo is an avid chamber ensemble featuring cellist Yejin Choi and pianist Kevin Suherman. They met and began collaborating in 2017, at the start of their postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Shortly after, the Duo won the annual Wilfrid Parry Brahms Sonata Prize at the Academy. The Orix Duo are frequent guest artists for the Team of Pianists’ Classic Music in Historic Venues Concert Series, performing in distinguished venues across Melbourne
