Join us for the Junior Competition Workshop, designed to help young athletes prepare for competition in a fun, supportive and practical environment. Open to junior competitors aged 5–15 years, the workshop will cover competition skills, confidence, rules, etiquette and what to expect on competition day. Whether your child is preparing for the Australian Girls in Gi Round Robin Competition or their first, next or future competition, this workshop is a great opportunity to build confidence and feel competition-ready.

- Technical BJJ instruction focused on competition
- Competition-specific techniques, positions and strategies
- Takedowns, guard, passing, escapes and submissions
- Grip fighting, transitions and positional control
- Competition-specific drills and situational training
- Sparring and live rounds
- Simulated competition matches
- Scoring, rules and referee commands
- Match strategy and decision-making under pressure
- Warm-ups, match preparation and competition routines
- Managing nerves and building confidence
- Sportsmanship, resilience and competition mindset
- Tips and preparation for both first-time and experienced competitors
