About
Journey into a world of shifting light, winter landscapes and northern skies in Aurora, Oriana Chorale’s evocative new concert.
From Björk’s cosmic wonder and the shimmering Northern Lights settings of Ēriks Ešenvalds and Ola Gjeilo, to Veljo Tormis’s atmospheric Autumn Landscapes and Alice Chance’s radiant Fiat Lux, this program brings together luminous choral music from northern Europe and Australia.
Aurora also features a newly commissioned work by Oriana’s Emerging Composer in Residence, Sebastian Allen, alongside music by Anna Thorvaldsdottir, Patrick Baker, Kate Rusby and Ted Hearne.
Performed by Oriana Chorale under the direction of Dan Walker in the intimate Larry Sitsky Recital Room.
