Canberra City Band - Sunday Session
About
Fresh from their success at the NSW Band Championships, Canberra City Band is turning up the volume with Sunday Session — an afternoon of fantastic music, great entertainment and plenty of musical flair!Featuring the iconic sounds of composers such as John Williams and Leonard Bernstein, this concert marks an exciting new chapter for the band as they take to the stage for their first concert performance under the baton of new Music Director Matt O’Keeffe.
Known for his imaginative and entertaining programming through the Canberra Theatre’s popular Music at Midday series, Matt brings that same sense of fun, energy and audience appeal to Sunday Session. Expect a program packed with familiar favourites, spectacular sounds and a few surprises along the way.
Adding even more star power to the afternoon, the band will be joined by two much-loved local music theatre performers, Tina Robinson and Chris Bennie, whose voices will bring an extra dimension to this exciting musical showcase.
Sunday Session promises to be a concert full of colour, character and crowd-pleasing music — the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the Canberra City Band.
