Fountain Lakes & Acid Arrow
About
Fountain Lakes are dream-folk duo Jac Tonks and Emma Heeney, weaving dual vocals and spectral harmonies over acoustic and electric guitars, joined by bandmate Nick O’Mara on his signature sparkling lap steel. Their sweet and dark cautionary tales have earned an ABC TV Rage premiere, strong support from PBS FM, 3RRR and ABC Radio, and a sold-out Melbourne launch. Fresh from a 2026 artist residency in Iceland, they’re now bringing home new songs written for their debut album. From the heart of Naarm/Melbourne, Acid Arrow emerge as sorcerers of twang, conjuring a sound where outlaw country collides with psychedelic textures. Formed by Brooke Penrose (Saint Jude, Little John, Eaten By Dogs) and Brett Marshall (Mightiest of Guns, Cash Savage & The Last Drinks) in 2022, the duo draws on a rich lineage of Australian alt-country and folk-rock, weaving stories steeped in grit and mysticism.
Join these two bands for an afternoon of music at the Merri Creek Tavern on Sunday, November 8th. Doors are at 5pm and tickets available through Trybooking.
