'Building the Ambassadors of Western Australian Wine'
With the support of Wines of Western Australia and the WA government, the Wine Education Centre is conducting its inaugural one-day Wine Essentials Course, designed for those starting out or currently working in hospitality and the wine trade in Perth. The six-hour course provides accessible, industry-focused training designed to build product knowledge, practical service skills and confidence, with a particular focus on Western Australian and Australian wines.
COURSE CONTENT
- Sensory evaluation fundamentals
- White wine production
- Red wine production
- Wine storage and ageing
- Wine service essentials
- Common wine faults and their identification
- Food and wine pairing principles
- Overview of Australian wine regions
- Introduction to Western Australian wine regions
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
All participants will receive:
- Essentials Wine Tasting Guide
- Wine tasting booklet
- Copy of the course PowerPoint presentation
- Certificate of Merit endorsed by Wines of Western Australia
The course is designed to give participants a practical foundation in wine that can be immediately applied in hospitality and trade environments.
Cost: $250 + GST
