About
Janet Dore, interim Chief Executive Officer for the Hepburn Shire will discuss the challenges for local government. Janet was appointed interim CEO in August 2026.Janet has extensive experience in environments of change at local and state government enterprises, together with Boards in government, listed, and the not-for-profit sector.
Her educational foundation is in Applied Science and she furthered her studies with an MBA, and qualifications in Company Directorship, Mastering the Boardroom, and finally a qualification from University of Oxford's BlockChain Strategy Programme.
Her areas of interest include strategic analysis, governance, risk management, leadership and organisational culture.
She has served on more than a dozen Boards over a period of 16 years in both NSW and Victoria.
From her first role as a cartographer in the UK, Janet's career has traversed many landscapes, including Planning, Appeals, and two academic appointments at Melbourne universities. She has also held executive roles on various Regional Councils and finished her full-time career as Chief Executive Officer at the Transport Accident Commission.
