Does a surface that looks clean truly meet your cleaning standards? This practical workshop introduces Kikkoman A3 hygiene monitoring, using Lumitester™ Smart and LuciPac™ A3, to assess organic contamination and verify cleaning effectiveness in professional cleaning environments.Unlike conventional ATP-only testing, Kikkoman A3 detects ATP, ADP, and AMP, providing a more comprehensive assessment of organic residues.
Participants will learn how to establish a hygiene-monitoring program, select appropriate sampling locations, collect samples consistently, interpret results, and investigate cleaning failures. Through practical demonstrations and interactive activities, participants will explore how to turn measurement results into actionable improvements.
The workshop will also explain the scope of A3 testing and Relative Particle Air Testing: it provides rapid cleanliness verification but does not directly identify microorganisms or replace microbiological testing.
Learning Objectives
• By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
• Explain how Kikkoman A3 supports cleaning verification
• Describe the value of detecting ATP, ADP, and AMP
• Distinguish between visual inspection, A3 hygiene monitoring, and microbiological testing
• Select suitable sampling points based on hygiene risk
• Collect samples consistently using LuciPac A3 and measure them with Lumitester Smart
• Establish practical pass, caution, and fail limits appropriate to their facility
• Interpret results, identify corrective actions, including recleaning and retesting
• Monitor records, trends to improve cleaning procedures and staff training
• Use of a Particle counter to get a relative scale of particles in the air
