After a sell-out event at last year's Readings' A Day in Carlton, Tim Loveday is doing it all again this year, with another all-star line-up of poets.
Ruby Mary Gill is a South Africa-born, Australia-based poet and musician. She recently won Best Country Album (AIR) for her almost-country, ARIA-charting record Some Kind of Control. Her debut poetry book is 'I’m not exaggerating when I say'.
Jill Jones lives on unceded Kaurna land. She is an award-winning poet who has published fifteen full-length books. Her latest is 'How to Emerge'.
Laniyuk is a Larrakia, Kungarakan, Gurindji and French political creative whose art practice is grounded in cultural, language and land reclamation. She writes and performs poetry, speculative fiction and short memoir, and is a visual artist. She has been published online as well as in print poetry collections.
Dominic Symes is a writer, poet and a PhD graduate in Creative Writing. He lives quietly on the unceded land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. His latest collection is 'songs of love & hate speech'.
Es Foong is a poet exploring humanness at the intersection of community and art on unceded Wurundjeri Land. They are the author of 'Clot and Marrow'.
Big Verse promises to transport you through the rambunctious and politically charged world of contemporary Australian poetry.
