Labour and Birth (4 hours) - Hornsby Hospital

- Preparing for Labour at home and in hospital
- Practise Active birth techniques to stay calm and confident through Labour (Movement, Positions, Breathing Patterns)
- The role of Partner and support people
- Pain relief options
- Medical aspects of Birth (Induction, Vacuum, Forceps, Perineal tear, Caesarean Secton)
- Use of water for Labour and Birth
- Normal Birth - Positions and Breathing
- TOUR of Maternity
All sessions are facilitated by a Registered Midwife.
We recommend that you do this Class around 28 - 34 weeks of pregnancy, and consider also attending the Baby and Parenting session aswell.
This class is also a great refresher if this is not your first baby.
Face to Face sessions - Please BYO Water bottle, bed pillow, towel or yoga mat for floor and wear comfortable loose clothing
if Online sessions - Please relax at home in your lounge room and wear comfortable loose clothing.
