
Advanced Life Support Level 1 (ALS1) - Provider Course
This one-day Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Level 1 course aims to provide clinicians with the knowledge, skills and confidence to manage a patient in the immediate period of a medical emergency.
A combination of lectures and interactive hands-on sessions will cover:
- Recognition, assessment and management of the critically ill patient using a structured ABCDE approach (aiming to prevent cardiac arrest)
- Airway management skills
- Basic Life Support
- Defibrillation skills (Manual and/or AED modes)
- Cardiac arrest management using the ARC ALS Algorithm
- Working as an effective team member in a cardiac arrest
Certification is valid for four years upon successful completion of the course
