
Paediatric Life Support Course (PLS)
This one day course is accredited by Advanced Paediatric Life Support Australia (APLS) and focuses on the first ten minutes of emergency paediatric care.
This course is suitable for doctors, registered nurses/midwives and paramedics.
Information is presented in lectures, workshops, practical sessions & hands-on emergency scenarios with participants tested on key components.
Course content includes:
• Basic life support
• Airway management
• Cardiac rhythm recognition & defibrillation
• Recognition of the seriously injured & seriously ill child
