Our 11th dragon boat regatta will be held once again at this stunning venue, hopefully without Covid19 restrictions in force.
This is a festival event of dragon boat racing and social activities. In 2021 we hope to again support the work of Dragons Abreast Australia. The event in 2021 will consist of a combination of races on the Saturday and Sunday morning as well as the Breast Cancer Survivors Race and flowers on the water ceremony. Further details on the race program will be available closer to the event date. We will have dinner followed by a party on the Saturday evening...a time for food, fun, and dancing the night away.
This regatta for 2021 will conclude before lunch on Sunday.
Lake Barrington is approximately 45kms south of Devonport and is a wilderness setting. The regatta is held at the international rowing course with first class racing facilities. There is limited chalet dormitory style accommodation which can be booked through this site. There are also unpowered camp sites. Toilet and shower facilities are available to attendees. There is limited mobile phone coverage, no radio or TV. So just the place to get away and relax!
All attendees will receive further details on what to bring and race program in late January 2021 via email.
When: Saturday February 6th 8.30am until
Sunday February 7th ( the event will conclude just before lunch on Sunday to allow sufficient travel time for visiting crews.)
