Story Workshop with Make or Break (Auslan interpreted)
Join artist collective Make or Break for an experimental storytelling workshop, where we will write and think imaginatively about local futures from non-human perspectives. Speculating on possible futures - whether they are hopeful, catastrophic or wildly fantastical - is an important way to work towards the futures we want to create, and to start thinking about how we might arrive there.
No previous creative writing experience is necessary. This workshop is aimed at adults, but teenagers with an interest in writing are also welcome. The workshop is free but bookings are essential and there are very limited places available, so please let us know in advance if you can no longer attend.
Access info: The workshop is taking place in a wheelchair-accessible space, with two spots at an artist-designed table that are accessible for wheelchair users. Seating is on stools and cushions, but more supportive seating can be organised on request. There is climate control in the space, so please dress warmly. An Auslan-interpreted session of this workshop is taking place on Saturday 8 May. Please contact us in advance if you would like to discuss access needs.
