AAFT National Conference in-person in Hobart, Tasmania
The Tasmanian branch of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT) invites you to come together to share family and systemic practices.
While the National AAFT Conference is taking place in Western Australia, we will sit together in-person in Tasmania, soaking up online keynote presentations and themed presentations from the comfort and beauty of the Botanical Gardens in Hobart.
This is a chance to get together with friends, colleagues and mentors who are working with families, including those using systemic approaches in their work with individuals, couples, relational partners or communities.
Two full days of conference offerings will challenge and inspire us. An evening social event will strengthen Tasmanian connections.
To support our experience, Dr Harvey Miller, founder, and director of the Gilead Downs Family Therapy Centre will join us in Hobart. Harvey has taught and practiced Family Therapy, both in Australia and overseas for the last 40 years. He has an undergraduate degree in Theology, a Master’s degree in early childhood development, a Clinical Masters and PhD, and is past President of the Victorian Association of Family Therapists.
Harvey currently directs the Advanced Clinical Training Program in Family Therapy from Newcastle, NSW. We’ve invited Harvey to sit alongside us as we soak up the national conference, to help us draw out implications for our work in Tasmania.
