Significant Trees Tours - September to December 2021
GOVERNMENT HOUSE TASMANIA
Join local arboriculturalist, Andrew Robert-Tissot, on this Significant Trees Tour. Learn the history behind the plantings of our most established trees, walk amongst Australia’s oldest oak avenue and visit the many ceremonial plantings along the way. The historic Government House garden covers approximately 15ha, our mature trees tower over the landscape providing shelter to the gardens below, are a haven for birdlife and provide stunning colours throughout the year.
Tour duration is approximately one (1) hour.
Date/time: 10:30 am on selected dates from September to December 2021
Photography is encouraged. Parking will be available on site. Please drive through the main gates and follow the directions of staff.
COVID-19 restrictions apply for all Government House events. A separate detailed email will be forwarded after finalising your booking.
Dress: Neat casual with enclosed shoes and appropriate wet weather gear.
Cost: $20.00 per person (incl GST) (Please note that a TryBooking processing fee will also be applied upon checkout.)
All revenue from the tour program is directed to the maintenance and preservation of the Government House Estate.
