New Franchising Code of Conduct – Compliance Essentials
You are invited to participate in a comprehensive discussion of new requirements for franchisors as a result of the recent amendments to the Franchising Code of Conduct.
This workshop is designed to provide practical information for franchise systems to help implement the changes within their own business, including advice from specialist franchise lawyers, in-house legal counsel and leading franchise systems.
The discussion will cover the regulatory changes, how they fit with existing obligations and how to ensure compliance given dramatically increased penalties and significant brand reputation risk.
Topics include:
- Transitional issues and using the Key Fact Sheet
- Redrafting franchise agreements and disclosure documents
- Dealing with Cooling Off changes
- Rebates/supply chain disclosure
- Dispute resolution and termination
This is a critical event as franchise systems prepare to update Disclosure Documents to reflect the Code changes before the 1 November compliance deadline.
