The shakuhachi (flute) and piano accordion both share their ancestry amongst ancient Chinese instruments. The precursor to the shakuhachi first immigrated to Japan in the late 7th century and subsequently, the accordion was developed in Germany in the early 19th century. Internationally acclaimed artists Adrian Sherriff (shakuhachi) and Anthony Schulz (accordion) reunite these two long lost siblings in cross- cultural musical conversation. In this musical reunion, the instruments share the tales of their adventures and embark together on new musical journeys.
