Improve student writing with Low Stakes Writing (6-10) ROBE
Low Stakes WrIting increases student engagement and confidence in writing (Gannon, 2020) and provides the perfect canvas for the explicit teaching of language, literature and literacy demands of the AC. In this workshop, Rosie Kerin will demonstrate processes and prompts used in Low Stakes or Free Writing activities for Years 6 to 10. You will experiment with and learn how to build creativity and integrate explicit instruction to develop your students' grammar, vocab, structures and style.
This process also extends student independence as they learn to draft and proofread their own writing, rather than outsourcing the editorial aspects of writing to you.
Please consider inviting a Years 5 or 6 teacher from a feeder school to build relationships and continuity in writing instruction. A discount applies when two teachers book together.
A refund will be provided if COVID restrictions lead to cancellation of the workshop. (see Terms and Conditions provided on this site.)
