Twin brothers, Zanetto and Tonino are different in every way… except that they look exactly the same!
Tonino is brave, virtuous and cultured, while Zanetto is simple, plain and unsophisticated. Tonino has run away to elope with Beatrice – but assumes the identity of his twin brother to hide from pursuers. But Zanetto wants to woo Rosina, the daughter of the miserly Judge. When they both arrive in Verona on the same day, their romantic proposals become hopelessly confused.
Insults, threats, proposals, multiple swordfights and boxes of jewels all ended up in the wrong hands…sorting it all out in time for the weddings is going to be murder! But will involve lots of singing and dancing and probably the help of the audience!
A knock-about madcap musical comedy!
