Lust, longing & unrequited love: CASTALIA Vocal Consort present an exciting debut program of music from the courts of the Italian Renaissance to the grungy laneways of NYC. From the music of Barbara Strozzi, Carlo Gesualdo & Claudio Monteverdi, to Michael Finnissy, Caroline Shaw & Salvatore Sciarrino, 'Hotheads and Lovers' traces the development of the vocal music from stile antico to the modern day, with theorbist Simon Martyn-Ellis.
